Each year thousands of beauty hopefuls nominate their business for the British Beauty & Spa Awards. The awards recognise industry, innovation and excellence in 15 categories but out of those nominated, just 75 make it to the finals. This year, Edinburgh was up there with London heavyweights, with four salons, Celeste Beauty Spa, Pure Day Spa, One Spa at the Sheraton and Zen Lifestyle - shortlisted. And with Celeste Beauty Spa and One Spa going to win an award, the city is shaking up the beauty world. é

Zen Lifestyle and Celeste Beauty Spa went head to head in one of the most competitive categories, North West & Scotland Salon of the Year. but it was Celeste Beauty Spa Leven Street that wowed the judges and the salon bagged the award for the second time.
